Description
The Beebop Session Border Controller is a container based virtualized SBC used to provide a bridge between Proprietary Communication Systems and Open SIP based solutions such as Cistera’s popular Convergence Server (CCS) and other RFC3261 compliant devices.
It also can be used to build large platforms for VoIP and real-time communications – Presence, WebRTC, Instant messaging and other applications. Moreover, it can be easily used for scaling up SIP-to-PSTN gateways, PBX systems or media servers like Asterisk™, Cisco CUCM or Microsoft Teams.
Among the powerful features: asynchronous TCP, UDP and SCTP, secure communication via TLS for VoIP (voice, video, text); WebSocket support for WebRTC; IPv4 and IPv6; SIMPLE instant messaging and presence with embedded XCAP server and MSRP relay; asynchronous operations; IMS extensions for VoLTE; ENUM; DID and least cost routing; load balancing; routing fail-over; accounting, authentication and authorization.
Cistera SBC can be used on systems with limited resources as well as on carrier grade servers. It is written in pure C for Debian based Linux systems with architecture specific optimizations to offer high performance throughput.
The Software is available pre-packaged in Azure Virtual Machine, Docker Image or Hardware Controller Variants.
