Paging and Notification

Beebop SIP paging and notification systems for public safety, are network-based solutions that integrate into any SIP enabled communications system.

All Beebop products are RFC 3265/SIP compliant endpoints. Beebop also has a variety of tools and capabilities that allow the integration of SIP devices into many IP based communication systems.

All Beebop products are RFC 3265/SIP compliant endpoints. Beebop also has a variety of tools and capabilities that allow the integration of SIP devices into many IP based communication systems.

Beebop systems are highly scalable and secure, network (POE) powered or independently powered based on the need. Speakers and controllers are both powered and line output depending on the need. They support a wide range of communications systems. Couple this with enhanced notification systems such as Cistera Rapid Broadcast, they are powerful solutions for many different use cases.

Beebop Talkback Devices also support bi-directional messaging.

Alerting and Notification

Integrating unified communications (UC) platforms is made easy with Beebop. All devices are SIP enabled, allowing the device to register with the UC platform as generic SIP endpoint. Where the PBX doesn’t support direct 3rd Party SIP connections, Beebop has it’s own Session Border Controller to allow for integration into proprietary networks.

The Beebop device is then registered as a SIP endpoint. With this, you simply dial an extension and you get access to either a Single IP speaker or zone controller device. There a any number of combinations of capability you can have, just ask.

The Beebop Zone Controller Software enables a high degree of configurability through Windows 10 based software. Initially the devices need to be on the same network to discover the device. But once configured, you can maintain the device from any location inside the network.

Scalable Architecture through Multicast

Beebop extensively uses RTP multicast capability to scale notification devices into the thousands to control large spaces. Zones (or groups of broadcast devices) can be configured in any number of ways. Beebop supports 20 zone groups within a single network segment (or multiple segments depending on configuration of the network. This means they scale from a single room to a multi campus scenario at ease.

Note: In a multicast configuration all endpoints will require full power from each PoE port connected to a device. Beebop devices support 802.3af and 802.3at protocols.

Zone Paging

Zones are configured through multicast addresses assigned to broadcast groups. Groups are assigned multicast addresses and each device is configured to participate in that zone. There is no practical limit to the number of devices that can participate in each Zone.

PBX Vendor Paging Integration

Where the UC System has its own Paging capability and can integrate into these systems including the ability to participate with these systems. Examples of systems that have paging include Cisco, Yealink, Poly (Polycom), Grandstream, and NEC among others.

Beebop products meet the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) standard, ANSI/NEMA SB 40-2015 Communications Systems for Life Safety in Schools. They are also UL/CSA, FCC and CE certified.
